Dr Sule Lamido urges PDP Youth to reclaim the party.
The Former Governor of Jigawa State His Excellency Dr Sule Lamido has urged PDP youth to revive the soul of the party. The Elder Stateman made the Clarion call when Northern States and Zonal youth leaders paid him a courtesy call in his Garki residence.
Dr Lamido lamented the lack of patriotism and selfless services to the party and the nation at large owing to total decline in moral values. He urged youth leaders in the North to remain steadfast and work for the peaceful resolution of the crisis rocking the party.
The Former Governor called on party faithful to put the party first and rally behind it instead of moving ahead of the party. He decried the sufferings of Nigerians and th acute hunger in the country and admonished the youths to work hard and unseat Tinubu in 2027.
Earlier speaking, the Leader of the group and Youth Leader North Central, Hon Aruwa Ishmaila informed the Former Governor that Youth Leaders in the North have embarked on peace tour to beg Stakeholders to sheath their swords and reconsider their personal stands and works for the unity of the party for the good of all. Hon Aruwa maintained that Northern Youth Leaders are not interested in the party crisis but want to rally round for a peaceful resolution.
He said the Forum decided to visit Lamido first as one the founding Fathers of the party to urge him to bring his wealth of experience and fatherly pieces of advice to reposition the party.
Also contributing, the Bauchi State Youth Leader Hon Babangida Maliya begged the former Governor to mobilize other elders to intervene and bring constitutionality and rule of law to the party.
On his side, the outgone youth leader of Benue State and Director Media and Publicity Hon Philip Ankyhquwa called for the strengthening of party organs and adherent to the party constitution. He called on key players in the party to consider the sufferings of Nigerians and work together to bring succour to them by defeating the ruling APC.
